Yes. Under the Health and Safety Information for Employees Regulations 1989, all UK employers must display the approved HSE health and safety law poster or provide each worker with an equivalent leaflet. Failure to display the poster can result in fines from the Health and Safety Executive.
The official HSE health and safety law poster is A3 size (297 x 420mm). However, we also offer A2 versions for larger workplaces where visibility from a distance is important. The poster must be displayed where employees can easily read it.
Health and safety posters should be replaced when they become damaged, faded, or out of date. The current version of the HSE law poster has been in use since April 2014. We recommend checking your poster annually and replacing if the text is difficult to read.
While the HSE law poster is required for all workplaces, additional posters may be needed depending on your industry. Kitchens require food hygiene posters, laboratories need lab safety posters, and construction sites need specific hazard warnings.
